Gut-loving Kombucha Gummy Recipe
If you're looking for something fun to do in lockdown (that kids love) make some gut-loving kombucha gummies! Like sweets, but much better for you!
The secret ingredient is gelatin, which contains amino acids that helps to seal leaky gut, feeds the good bacteria in your intestinal tract and can improve sleep, reduce inflammation, reduce sugar cravings and can help with joint pain. You can use any kind of juice or coconut water, but we've made them with LOVE kombucha, which has the perfect flavour for the job!
1 cup LOVE kombucha
1.5 TBSP Gelatin (we used Nutra Organics Natural Gelatin)
2 TBSP Maple syrup (more or less depending on how sweet you like things)
Gently heat all the ingredients over a low heat until the gelatin has dissolved. Keep stirring until it starts to simmer at the edges (don't let it boil!). Pour into moulds (or a glass dish, you can cut them up later). Place in the freezer for 15-30 mins, until set. Use to bribe your children into home-schooling or enjoy as a guilt free treat!
